Jeff Tanner
With a career that began at the age of 19 working for another contractor, Jeff Tanner spent 15 years honing his skills and gaining invaluable experience before deciding to establish his own business. His vision was simple: to provide quality construction services with a focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
For more than two decades, the Tanner family has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and dependable service throughout the Greater Northwest Indiana area. Founded in 1998 by Jeff Tanner, Jeff Tanner Construction LLC grew through a commitment to doing the job right and treating every customer with care.
Now the business has entered its next chapter as Jeff passes the company to his son, Jake Tanner. Under Jake’s leadership, the company has become Tanner Builders, carrying forward the experience, values, and craftsmanship established over the past 25+ years while building on that foundation for the future.
Jake Tanner
Jake Tanner grew up learning the construction business alongside his father, Jeff, gaining firsthand experience in the trade and a deep understanding of what it takes to build quality homes.
Now, as the second-generation owner of Tanner Builders, Jake is carrying forward the foundation his father established while bringing his own vision to the company. His focus on quality, thoughtful design, and modern building practices continues the Tanner family tradition while allowing the business to evolve with the needs of today’s homeowners.
Jake also recognized an opportunity to expand the company’s capabilities through custom cabinetry. Drawing on his passion for design and an eye for functional beauty, he developed the cabinetry side of the business to give clients more opportunities to personalize their homes and create spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.
With Jake at the helm, Tanner Builders represents the next chapter of a family-built company honoring the craftsmanship and reputation established by Jeff, while continuing to build something of its own.
Elevating every space in your home
“I knew how I wanted a home that would feel cozy but also allow us to host our extended family, and the plans Jeff and Jake made did just that. We are blown away by their hard work, communication, and meticulous attention to detail.” - Lori + Shawn
